To further optimize the breeding process, it is essential to continuously keep a close watch on the insects’ health and living conditions. Manual inspection is impossible due to scale; applying AI solves this problem.
How do you gaugean insect’s health and typical deviations from healthy circumstances? That’s what we have first determined with domain experts. Next, we constructed models for various scenarios that enable automated visual inspection.
Apart from the model’s accuracy, speed and robustness is of utmost importance. Based on the outcomes, automatic interventions take place seconds later in the process; i.e. the models must always work!
